As we were all reminded this summer, Lake Tahoe and Alpine Meadows is at risk of a catastrophic fire.
Now is the time to prepare for an evacuation…before we have to. There are 2 upcoming opportunities for you to learn, practice and ask questions of law enforcement and the fire department. Experts tell us that it is important to be ready to go and know what to do before we need to evacuate.

In-person evacuation drill at the Water District/ Alpine Meadows fire station parking lot.
Join your neighbors, law enforcement, ski area officials, and the North Tahoe Fire Department for an in person (socially distant) presentation on what you need to know and do when it is time to evacuate. There will be opportunities to answer questions and address concerns.
